この夏、2年ぶりにロシアに行ってきた。
懐かしのモスクワ、我が心のペテルブルク、憧れのシベリア、美しい白海。
今回もたくさんの人と出会い、いろんな場所でギターを弾き、歌った。
本当に素晴らしい日々だった。この曲はロシアの人々がとても気に入ってくれた歌のひとつ。
どうもありがとう。お世話になったみなさんに感謝の気持ちを込めて…

I've been to Russia during this summer　after 2 years.
My dear Moscow, St. Petersburg on my mind, my dream place Siberia, beautiful White Sea.
I've met a lot of people and played guitar even sung for them anywhere.
It's been really wonderful days. This song is the one which many Russian people liked.
Thanks a lot. I made this video for everyone who I've met in Russia...

This is the last (10th) song of our recordings of the last summer.
And this song is very special for me. I've been wanted to record it for over 20 years.
I've tried to record it a few times before and I was even trying to sing it by myself 2 years ago...
I met this song in 1983 (or 1984) in my favorite Tarkovsky's film called "Nostalghia".
I'm so happy to record it at last and am really glad that I could finish all our songs :-)

この曲は古いロシア民謡。タルコフスキーの映画『ノスタルジア』の冒頭とラストで使われてるから、聴き覚えのある人も多いと思う。
83年だか84年にこの映画を見た時にこの曲にとりつかれて、その後何度かレコーディングしようとしたことがあるんだけど、
なかなかうまくいかなかった。もちろんインスト・バージョン。あの頃は歌詞どころか曲名すら知らなかったからね。

ところが3年ほど前、ペラゲヤというロシアの女性シンガーのアルバムを聴いてる時に、偶然この曲と再会して、
ついに曲名と歌詞までも知ることが出来た。それからずっとこの曲のイメージを膨らませてたんだ。
この際だから自分で歌ってみるつもりで、練習もしてたんだよね。でもま、そのことは忘れてよい（笑）
ちょうどそんな頃、エリカと出会って、真っ先にこの曲の話をしたわけ。彼女はこの曲を知らなかったけど、
とても気に入ってくれて、歌ってくれることになったんだ。

ってなわけで、もともとアカペラで歌われるこの唄にコードをつけて、バリトン･ギターで弾いてみた。
曲名は『クームシキ』と読む。これは親しい女性同士で使われる古い言葉で、ニュアンスとしては「姐さん」って感じかな。

We've recorded an old Soviet song composed by Yan Frenkel, lyrics written by Rasul Gamzatov.
Gamzatov visited Hiroshima, Japan in 1969 and he saw the monument of Sadako Sasaki.
Sadako was the one of atomic bomb victims in Hiroshima.
And he was told about the story "Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes".
It really was one of the motivations for him to write this poem...

This is a memorial song that made us MASELLICA.

今回はシンプルにバンド･アレンジで演ってみた。

This is a very old song of mine. I wrote it in 1998 before I wrote "I Will Always Be".
I played this song often with a several musicians long time ago but never recorded for public.
Maybe some of you know this song as "Waltz in Dm".
This song has no lyrics, because we didn't have much time to think of it...
But it really doesn't matter. Erika's scat is wonderful enough :-)))
