むかしむかし、ある出版社の社長さんから頂いた。
A long time ago, I received it from the president (shacho-san) of certain publisher.

おもしろそうだから、琴と一緒にレコーディングに使ってみた。
I tried to record a song with it and Koto because I thought it might be interesting.
 



あの時は気付かなかったんだけど、これってロシア語じゃ…!?
I wasn't aware at that time, but this is a Russian word, isn't it !?

何故にウズラ(笑)???

とにかく、ウズラをちょっと聴いてみる。
Anyway, try to listen to the Quail a little.




曲名はいつか考えるつもり…
I wii think about a name of this song someday...

もう疲れた…

Yes, this is "quail" in russian :) And it seems to be a "гусли" ("gusli", psaltery?).

あぁ、グスリって~のは古いロシアの楽器のことだね。
I see Gusli is the old instrument of Russia.

もしかしてこの名前は、ガチョウ(Гусак)から来てるのかな…???
Perhaps this name came from Goose...???

Actually no. nakendlom says it has the same root as russian "гудеть" (to buzz).

Actually, I found nothing about it in my dictionary.
実際、ボクの辞書にはそのことについてなぁ~んも載ってなかった。

It can't be helped with Russian→Japanese dictionary :-)
ま、ロシア語辞書だからしゃあないか(笑)

However, it was wrong guess.
なんにしても、予想は違ってたわけだ。

The quail and the goose, I thought it would be interesting...
ウズラにガチョウで面白いと思ったのにな…
